Getting Content out There
Four things support your actual
site implementation –getting
your pages "out there":
- Your site design,
- Collection and preparation of the content material,
- Selecting a hosting service, and
- Registering
a domain name.
How long it takes to establish your site on the Web depends on a number
of factors:
- Time required to collect materials for content and accomplish any
necessary conversion,
- Selection and preparation of graphics, and
- Host service activation.
Normally an initial
implementation – meaning there is no pre-existing
site – will require between 20-30 days. If you have an existing
site and a significant portion of the content material is
already available, the time required for implementation is dramatically
reduced.
